Introduction:

Hi, I’m Neil and I am an experienced highly qualified fitness professional. I offer personal training assistance to a wide range of persons who vary in fitness and experience. I am a graduate sport scientist from Staffordshire University and possess accurate, safe, up-to-date and fun knowledge gained through extensive study and practical learning. I also practice what I preach and have been involved in fitness training, running and various sports.

YMCA Professional Gym Instructor Award

I provide personal training programmes for Men and Women to meet various training goals:

General fitness for all levels of fitness and experience (aerobic fitness & endurance)

Nutritional Advice

Training for specific sports performance – for different levels of competition e.g. Athletics, Football, Hockey, Rugby, or even Marathon!

Core stability training (e.g. stomach specific)

 

The programme you undertake is decided by what you want to gain and goals you decide on. Your goals are personal and flexible and as a personal trainer I can help you achieve them through individual training sessions. To help you decide your goals I conduct a brief initial consultation with my clients in a neutral place e.g. cafe to introduce myself and discuss your situation. Then, if you want to continue, a health and fitness evaluation takes place usually at your home.

 

Then the sessions begin! How often you do a session is up to you although the more sessions you have the more gains you will see but this can all be discussed during the initial meetings. I will come to you for your sessions and will guide you and motivate you through your sessions. Most importantly the sessions should be FUN and individual.

Sports Performance
Training sessions for specific sports performance can also be arranged. Different capabilities are catered for as even recreational players can gain from this training. Modern sport science is used and applied. This all may range from and can include periodization, sports nutrition advice and specific modified interval training to suit your sport, abilities and personal performance goals.
